Dr Andrew Darby has moved into a clinical director role at Te Whatu Ora, his last day with Pinnacle was Tuesday 31 October. Andrew has been an invaluable asset to the Pinnacle primary mental health team, providing clinical and mental health support to our network GP practices. We wish him well for his next steps.
Pinnacle has welcomed Dr Tony Muller as the new primary care liaison psychiatrist. Tony is a trained psychiatrist with over 10 years’ experience in the Waikato. He has worked primarily in adult community mental health and currently also works for the triage service at Te Whatu Ora. Tony has a keen interest in psychotherapy and has training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The Te Tumu Waiora integrated mental health and wellbeing service has been up and running in general practices in Taupō and Tūrangi since July 2019. The response from practices and the community has been overwhelmingly positive.
