Practice Plus is seeking to enhance consumer engagement and experience through the promotion of equity and ensuring that services are organised and delivered at a high quality. An opportunity has arisen for a GP, nurse or practice manager, to join the Practice Plus service user committee.
The Practice Plus service user committee will work collaboratively with the Practice Plus management team. The aim will be to develop an effective partnership in the implementation and operation of a high performing virtual telehealth service that meets needs from a general practice perspective, as a key stakeholder, and also those of patients and whānau accessing the service.
Members are reimbursed accordingly depending on role. (GP: $450 per meeting, nurse or practice manager: $250 per meeting.)
Meetings are held quarterly (February, May, August, November) on the first Wednesday from 4-5.30pm. The next hui is 7 February 2024, 4.00-5.30pm.

The selection process involves forwarding applications to the committee. They will then decide based on criteria that ensures a diverse representation across managers, nurses, and doctors.
Additionally, the committee is prioritising representation from rural practice members, VLCA practice members, and Iwi/Māori-owned general practice.
