Receiving a cancer diagnosis and undertaking treatment can be a difficult and overwhelming path for both individuals and their whānau. Tui Ora's free cancer community nursing and kaiārahi service can support people and their whānau every step of the way.
Anyone living with cancer in Taranaki (people with or awaiting a cancer diagnosis) can access this service. The service covers the Taranaki region from Patea, across to Ōpunake, and as far north as Waiiti. People can be visited in their home or wherever they feel most comfortable.
Referral can be made via GP or specialist, or directly calling 0800 TUI ORA (0800 884 672) or emailing intake@tuiora.co.nz. People do not need to be registered as a patient at Tui Ora to access the service.
