World Hepatitis Day is on Friday 28 July. This is a good opportunity to remind practice staff to consider a simple blood test to screen for Hep C exposure; most labs will automatically check for active virus if serology HCV-Ab positive for exposure.
Check: Have you offered treatment to all your patients with known Hepatitis C? Treatment is free and effective, and can be prescribed in primary practice.
