A reminder to please download your dataloggers each week and check these against minimum / maximum temperature recordings. If datalogger downloads are not occurring weekly, practices risk missing the fluctuations in their fridge temperatures. If you'd like support with this please contact Helen Ride or Pam Rudolph (details below).
From 4 March 2024 Waikato Outreach Immunisation Services (OIS) will be accepting referrals for all tamariki 0-6 years of age. The expansion of this service has been developed with the support of Te Whatu Ora to build upon efforts to improve immunisation coverage rates. Previously, OIS accepted referrals for tamariki 0-2.5yrs and 4.5yrs-5yrs. The expansion of age ranges for referral to OIS is designed to support your continued efforts to engage with whānau and improve immunisation rates.
Reminder: Prior to referring to OIS please ensure that attempts to contact a child’s parent / caregiver have been made via phone, text and email. The AIR team are available if you would like to check for the most recent contact details for a child. OIS referral should continue to be made via the AIR team.

As we work together to uplift the immunisation rates in Aotearoa, we want to grow our vaccinator workforce across the Waikato to help fulfil the immunisation needs of our tamariki and tangata whaiora.
If you have staff that have completed their vaccinator foundation course and are ready to have their clinical assessments completed, please make a booking with one of our Waikato Immunisation Coordinators (below). They are available to perform clinical assessment within a reasonable timeframe and will endeavour to book a time for your staff member’s assessment accordingly.
