We are seeking to determine how many kaimahi in the Pinnacle general practice network would be interested in taking papers in leadership and management to enhance your current position.
Pinnacle has been working closely with the University of Waikato schools of health and management on management/leadership training for GPs, practice nurses, and practice managers. The school of health would provide the health context, and the school of management would provide the business and management expertise.
This is a new opportunity to tailor a leadership and management option, and follows the diploma in strategic management provided previously to our network. Four papers are currently available, with a diploma, but some may be interested in doing just one.
If there is sufficient interest, the papers would be offered via a combination of delivery with self-paced learning and a compulsory on-site attendance of three days per paper on days to suit participants’ needs.
We are looking into whether HWNZ funding would be available for interested clinical staff.
Please indicate your interest on this quick, one-question survey, by 12 January 2024.
